Starting a Home Church With Our Organization
If you would like to start a home church in your area we would love to meet you and help you out. Usually we would ask you to contact us and we will send you out an application which is just the first step to getting to know you better. Then we will begin a series of meetings via email, telephone and personal contact to begin building relationship. We will help you to develop your leadership abilities and hone your gifts to be able to help people be all that they can be in Jesus, and together we will raise up the saints to do the work of the ministry. We love to help people reach their goals and it is with great pleasure that we release people to their destinies no matter what the ministry call is on their lives, and no matter where that call may take them in ministry.
When we assist a new house church we are willing to put a lot of time and effort into the project. We will supply leadership with training materials. We will provide the study materials for new groups. We will assist the new group in promoting their group in their community and give good solid advice on how to build credibility with other Christian churches in the area. We offer mentoring, and a covering of prayer through the use of developed intercessors. Most of this we do at our own expense without requiring anything more than offerings. For the first two years it is typical that we put out way more financially than we ever receive from that group. We simply feel that it is God’s will to expand His church in the heart of every believer and we will do whatever it takes to bring forth revival in our land.
You should know however, that we are not an organization without structure and without accountability. We do believe in the five fold ministry. We believe that each member of the body of Christ has a destiny and we believe it is our job to help people find that destiny and to walk in it. We can not give authority or have authority without being under authority. So we are part of a larger organization called New Life Valley Ministries which is also part of a larger organization yet that does come under authority.
We are aware in the house church movement there are various books and materials that have recently become popular that promote the dismissal of all authority. Some of the leaders of these groups (who even claim they are not leaders) will tell you that the Pastors have abused the flock and no longer should be recognized as pastors. They may encourage people to meet together without anyone taking a leadership position. They imagine church without any boundaries and see the sons of God taking the place of the five fold leaders that God Himself designated in Ephesians 4.
Believers – do not be led astray from the truth of God’s Word. These voices are promoting lawlessness and rebellion which will not result in good fruit for your efforts.
We already live in a broken and fatherless generation. An orphaned spirit produces more orphans. Rejected people cause more rejection. A church split is not a good way to start a new work. We do not want to add to the woundedness and drag off still more sheep to be on their own where the wolves will devour them. We want to be part of the healing, not part of the pain.
God does want to use the house church ministry in North America. Home churches are gaining popularity and they now being more widely recognized as a viable gathering where people are finding hope and life once again. Within our ministry we will help you be a healed and whole person. No matter who has hurt you in the past, even if it was a church leader, or someone who claimed to be a Christian, we see our role in your life as being someone who brings healing. Together we will bind up the broken hearted and set the captives free. That is our mandate. And the Biblical example of leadership as servants is the best means of doing so.
May God direct us all in understanding the fullness of His Word, not just the parts that we want to receive. May we embrace it and may we live it out for all to see, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
